THe Well Roosted Origin Story

June 15, 2026

The name Well Roosted holds personal significance. Growing up in the country, it wasn't uncommon to catch glimpses of turkeys settling into the trees at dusk to roost for the night. There was something reassuring about that daily ritual—a return to a place of safety, comfort, and refuge. Today, that same idea inspires my mission to create homes that feel welcoming, restorative, and deeply personal.

My approach to design is rooted in a lifelong appreciation for the homes we create and the lives we live within them. Growing up, I learned the value of craftsmanship from my father, a carpenter who taught me everything from painting walls and wiring electrical outlets to building furniture and fixing what was broken. From my mother, I inherited a love for beautiful interiors, spending countless hours wandering furniture stores, flipping through fabric samples, and discovering how thoughtful design can shape the way a home feels.

After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, I spent six years in management consulting, helping middle-market companies improve operations and manage complex initiatives. The experience sharpened my ability to navigate multifaceted projects, communicate clearly, and bring structure and clarity to competing priorities. It also provided valuable exposure to the home building and furnishings industries, deepening my appreciation for the processes, materials, and details behind the spaces we inhabit.

While I valued my years in consulting, I found myself continually drawn toward design. Friends and family often turned to me for help selecting paint colors, sourcing furniture and vintage finds, reimagining room layouts, or unlocking the potential of a space. What began as a personal passion gradually revealed itself as something more. I realized that the aspects of my work I enjoyed most—understanding people's needs, solving complex problems, and creating thoughtful solutions—were the very same skills that underpin successful interior design. Transitioning into design allowed me to pair that analytical mindset with a lifelong love of beautiful, functional spaces and help clients create homes that truly support the way they live.

Today, I bring together that analytical foundation, hands-on perspective, and passion for design to create homes that are both beautiful and deeply livable. I believe the most successful interiors balance timeless style with the realities of modern life—supporting daily routines while fostering connection, functionality, and a genuine sense of home.

I have a deep appreciation for antiques, sustainability, and the stories that well-loved pieces bring to a home. These influences continue to shape my work, helping me create spaces that feel collected rather than decorated, layered rather than trendy, and enduring rather than fleeting.

I'd love the opportunity to work with you and help create a home that is a beautiful, functional, and comfortable place to land.
